Ten Things For Which I Am Grateful (not in order):
Being able to see, speak, hear, etc. A healthy, functioning body.
Friends. Love the lovely friends.
Family. No-one puts up with one’s quirks (or calls you on them) quite like family.
My tan boots.
Central heating.
Long length jeans.
Books.
Faith, hope, and charity.
An interesting job that does not resemble The Office.
My passport.
Chocolate.

Amen!
(Tell me where you find your long-length jeans so I, too, may give thanks.)
I agree on the long length jeans. I am actually looking for black boots, not tan. Any suggestions?
Long jeans - Downeast Outfitters. All my jeans cost about $15 - except for one insanely expensive pair that I was (happily) peer-pressured into buying in Seattle.
Black boots - if you were here, I'd say Nordstrom Rack or the Nine West outlet in PC. However...if you're splurging I'd say Bally's - if not, I'd head for the nearest Next or Debenhams sale.
But please buy leather. I do not consider pleather an acceptable fabric for boots. Unless you're going to be in a drag show or something.
Oh! Does the Top Shop on Oxford Street have a shoe department? Go there. Not on a Saturday, if you can help it.
Good thing we have that Masquerade Ball coming up -- I can wear my pleather boots and go as Dame Edna!
In my defense, I looked allll oooover the internet for leather boots in the style I wanted, but no luck. I guess the problem was that I was looking for a particular style of flat boots in the age of the four-inch heel, and the pickings were slim :) Maybe I should try again...
Ooh, Dame Edna would be a GREAT costume! But fear not, you have never exuded the aura of drag (if one can exude an aura). I do like leather, but I also like to exaggerate for dramatic effect.
